WHAT METALS CAN BE WELDED WITH THE LASER?

All of the traditional jewelry metals can be laser-welded! All base metals, Karat golds, Sterling Silver, Titanium, Palladium, and Platinum! Interestingly enough, Platinum which has historically been one of the most difficult metals to work with and repair, is one of the easiest metals to affect laser-writing repairs to! Welding different metals groups is also possible, i.e., gold to platinum, sterling to gold, etc.

We have been training to use the proper techniques while using the Laser Welder and ave become very proficient in operating the Laser Welder to design, repair, and restore jewelry.

REPAIR

Our modern repair department has no limits. We work on all metals; gold, platinum, and even silver. with the new laser welding technology we can handle the repairs that other jewelers said they could not do.

NEW LASER WELDER

Richard's Jewelry embraces 21st century technology wit the addition of the new state-of-the-art Laser Welder. Using amplified light instead of heat and fire, we can now perform projects that were once impossible.

WE ARE THE ONLY JEWELER IN THE AREA THAT OFFERS THIS CAPABILITY!

WHAT IS LASER WELDING?

Simply stated, it is the ability to weld metals, using amplified light as the source, to produce the weld. Sounds complicated, but it is really quite simple. Laser-welding actually uses a specific wave length of light to accomplish the welding process. This light is concentrated, adjusted, and controlled by the jeweler, much in the same way as he would control and adjust the flame of a soldering torch. However, unlike soldering, laser-welding is faster, cleaner, and more cost effective for many manufacturing and repair problems.
